Dr. Melanie Kay-Wyatt, former President of the ASCD Board of Directors, has been appointed Superintendent for the Alexandria City, Virginia Public Schools after serving as its interim the past year.

Previously, Melanie has helped lead Human resources for both Alexandria City and Spotsylvania County, Virginia Public Schools.
