ASCD Emerging Leader Dr. Karen Baptiste's "Preschool to Prison" Wins 6 Awards!

EL13 Karen "Dr. K" Baptiste's new documentary, Preschool to Prison was released three months ago and has already received 15 film festival acceptances and won 6 awards, ranging from an audience award for Best Human Rights Film to also receiving several Best Documentary Short awards.
Dr. K most recently spoke at Hunter College and the Burns Film Center where the rooms were packed with educators making a commitment to dismantling the preschool to prison pipeline. The next screening will be at the New Haven Film Festival in Connecticut on October 19th, and at the Williamsburg Cinema in Brooklyn on October 29th.
