New Jersey ASCD Names Kimberly Markus Its New Executive Director!

NJASCD proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Kimberley Harrington Markus as the Acting Executive Director of the organization starting on December 1, 2022. Kimberley has served as New Jersey’s Commissioner of Education and most recently as the Chief Education Officer for the Education Research and Development Institute. She has been recognized many times for her outstanding leadership in education with awards that include the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Arts Education, the EdTech Hero Award, the Boyer Outstanding Educator Award, and the College of New Jersey Advocacy Award.
