ASCD Emerging Leader Christine Anderson Publishes "The Benefits of Recognizing Biliteracy"

Dr. Christine Anderson, ASCD Emerging Leaders Class of 2022, published an article in Language Magazine entitled "The Benefits of Recognizing Biliteracy" discussing a pilot study she ran to increase the number of Multilingual Learners in her school district earning biliteracy distinctions on their transcripts. She presented her study findings at the Illinois Bilingual Directors Conference in a session entitled "Increasing Seal of Biliteracy Recognition for Multilingual Learners" in September, and she will be presenting the session in December at the Multilingual Illinois 2022 Statewide Conference.
