The National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments is pleased to announce the next two webinars in its Human Trafficking Webinar Series: The Roles of Families in Human Trafficking: Participation, Prevention and Intervention.
Part 1 of the series, Supporting Students Who Have Experienced Familial Human Trafficking will take place Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM EST. This webinar will provide information about the unique needs of students who have been trafficked by a family member. We have several people with lived experience who now work in the anti-trafficking field and other subject matter experts who will talk about the impacts and approaches to supporting these students.
The second webinar of the series, Engaging Families in Preventing and Addressing Human Trafficking will take place Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM EST. Our subject matter experts, including individuals with lived experience, will share approaches to engaging families of students in human trafficking prevention to build protective factors in their children to lessen the risk of victimization. They will also discuss how schools and families can work together to protect students who have been trafficked to lessen the risk of revictimization.
