Educators everywhere are invited to our next ASCD Leaders Meetup the weekend of May 20 & 21, 2023 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio - just outside Columbus!

Join us for warm spring days in central Ohio reconnecting, recharging and learning together! And while you’re in town visit the Ohio Statehouse, the world famous Columbus Zoo, the ancient indigenous peoples’ burial mounds, the renowned Center of Science and Industry (CoSI) and the Franklin Park Conservatory. Tour the German Village, walk the Scioto Mile, and take in my personal favorite, THE Ohio State University (GO BUCKEYES)!

Add yourself to the picture and it’s a weekend to remember! The event runs from noon Saturday til noon Sunday, allowing for travel time so that it doesn’t cut into your work week. You can fly into John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) or drive in off of I-70 and I-71. Reynoldsburg is just east of downtown, 20 minutes from the airport.

There is no charge to attend the meetup. You simply cover your own travel, lodging and dinner expenses while out on the town Saturday night. A light breakfast will be provided Sunday morning. Everything you need to know can be found here.

The event is hosted by Class of 2022 ASCD Emerging Leader @Isabel Bozada-Jones, the Coordinator of Deeper Learning for the Reynoldsburg City Schools. She has been able to secure the Reynoldsburg High School Livingston Campus as our event site; a perfect setting to learn about the district, the city and to learn from each other with lots of time to network and collaborate. Thank you for making this possible, Isabel!

Fun fact! Reynoldsburg is proud to stake claim as the birthplace of the tomato. In 1870, local horticulturist Alexander Livingston developed the first commercially sold tomato there on his farm, the Paragon tomato!

Next steps to join us:

1. Complete the quick online registration form so that we have a head count for the weekend, and let us know if you want to share your work!

2. Book your lodging. A listing of accommodations are included on the event flyer.

3. Book your flight by May 1st to get the best fare possible, if you’re flying in.

We are excited to welcome you to Reynoldsburg in May!
