ECS: Recent Trends in State Literacy Policies

The Education Commission of the States (ECS) reports that at least 89 bills have been introduced in states this legislative session that address reading instruction, intervention in the third grade or literacy in general as state leaders are asking educator candidates and current educators to complete training in the science of reading.
